Al Burhan Dismisses Al Kabbashi as Deputy Commander-in-Chief

 The Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, dismissed his deputy and military aides, officially abolishing their positions. He issued a decree abolishing the positions of Deputy Commander and Assistants to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, according to (SAF) statement.

However, the decree retained those dismissed as members of the Armed Forces Command.

According to the statement, the decision included the cancellation of Order No. 164 of 2023, which had appointed Shams el-Din Al-Kabbashias Deputy Commander-in-Chief, and Yasser Al-Atta and Ibrahim Jaberas his aides.

Furthermore, the decree appointed Staff Lt. Gen. Shams el-Din Al-Kabbashi Ibrahim Shantu as Assistant for Construction and Strategic Planning Affairs, Staff Lt. Gen. Mirghani Idris Suleiman Idris as Assistant for Military Industries Affairs, and Lt. Gen. Ibrahim JaberIbrahim Karima as Assistant for International Relations and Military Cooperation.
