The Auditor General sworn-in before the President of the Presidential Council

Mawlana Bilal Hussein Ismail Kanno performed the swearing-in ceremony as Auditor General of the Republic of Sudan before the President of the Presidential Council, Lt Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo.

The appointment of Mawlana Bilal Hussein as Auditor General aims to establish the values ​​of transparency and financial oversight, in an effort to lead the National Audit Office, audit the accounts of all State Agencies and Institutions as well as existing banks, and to conduct financial oversight of the accounts related to the Regular Forces and companies in which the State is involved. It further aims to combat administrative as well as financial corruption in order to ensure the protection of resources, and the application of governance and transparency standards.

The swearing-in ceremony was conducted pursuant to Presidential Decree No. (11) issued by the President of the Presidential Council, and based on the provisions of the Transitional Constitution of the Republic of Sudan of (2025), within the framework of completing the establishment of the oversight and financial institutions of the Peace Government.
