UAE Pledges $100 Million in Aid to Sudan

Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Diplomatic Advisor to the United Arab Emirates’ President, announced that the UAE will provide ($100 million) in humanitarian aid to Sudan, in an effort to support those affected in various regions, including El-Fasher.

He explained that the aid will reach those in need effectively through the Red Crescent, humanitarian organizations, and the World Food Programme (WFP). In addition, he noted that the UAE is redoubling its humanitarian efforts through its hospitals in Chad and South Sudan, aiming to facilitate the unimpeded delivery of aid.

The Diplomatic Advisor went on to affirmed that the Emirati support will include contributions from several countries, with a focus on distributing the aid through international organizations in order to ensure effective implementation.
