The Rapid Support Forces repel an attack on Umbaro, North Darfur

Today, Thursday, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) repelled an attack launched by the Armed Movements against the area of “Umbaro,” which has been under the Rapid Support Forces control for several months in North Darfur.

Field sources further told (Assayha) that fierce clashes erupted today between the RSF and a force from the “Joint Forces” -aligned with the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and comprising of various Armed Movements.

According to the sources’ account, the RSF managed to successfully repel the attack, inflicting heavy losses in lives and equipment on the Joint Forces, and seized dozens of combat vehicles fully loaded with military equipment.
