The US dollar nears the 6,000 Sudanese Pound mark

The Sudanese Pound recorded a new historic collapse against the US dollar on Monday, with the dollar surging to (5,670 Pounds) in parallel market trading.
As evident, the US dollar continues its upward climb as the ongoing war in the country -raging since (April 2023)- continues unabated.
In consequence, the Sudanese citizens continue to face severe food and service shortages, with prices of basic consumer goods skyrocketing, compounded by the increase in customs exchange rate.
