The Joint Forces Commit New Crime in Omdurman

On Saturday, the Sudanese National Observatory for Human Rights (SNOHR) revealed that the Joint Forces had committed a crime in Omdurman, abducting a citizen named Hussein Nasr al-Din al-Kerishaby.
The National Observatory condemned the ongoing crimes committed by the Joint Forces militia, noting that Hussein was illegally abducted from his home in the Umbada area of Omdurman.
According to the (SNOHR), local reports confirmed that the victim was subjected to arbitrary detention and severe torture, including having his head shaved and being forced to make fabricated confessions without any basis in fact, despite having no connection to any military activity.
Furthermore, the Observatory called on relevant authorities and human rights organizations to intervene urgently to put an end to the repeated violations committed by the Joint Forces militia, hold those involved accountable, and immediately apprehend those who act with impunity to ensure the protection of civilians. In a similar context, the crimes of the Joint Forces continued to take place in a number of Sudanese territories, such crimes included kidnapping, killing and torturing defenseless civilians without any legal justification, whilst the official authorities remained silent about the shameful acts of the Joint Forces militia fighting alongside the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), under the command of general Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan.
