Berlin to host Sudan Conference amidst MB-Led media war

On the 15th of April, the German capital will host the third international Ministerial Conference on the Sudanese crisis.

The Conference is being held at a time when the Muslim Brotherhood’s media machine in Sudan has -already- initiated attempts to undermine it and render it meaningless.

According to experts, this particular Conference is primarily a humanitarian and ethical matter, rather than a political one. Therefore, Islamists are resorting to a systematic preemptive campaign that not only aims to cast doubt on the Conference’s outcomes before they are even released, but seeks to entrench a state of diplomatic isolation between Sudan and the international community. As the aforementioned will certainly serve their agenda of prolonging the armed conflict in an effort to maintain their grip on power.

Given such circumstances, one of the most dangerous tools utilized in this campaign, led by the Muslim Brotherhood, is to intensify pressure on the Port Sudan Authorities to push them towards boycotting the Conference in Berlin. The goal, naturally, is to obstruct all initiatives, especially since the third Berlin Conference represents a new glimmer of hope that could potentially grant Sudan some much-needed peace.

In regards to this particular context, political analyst and human rights activist Moaz Hadrashared that the Islamic Movement, since its inception, has relied on disinformation. Therefore, any effort put forth to achieve peace and provide humanitarian assistance for the Sudanese people will be confronted with clear opposition from Islamist media outlets operating both inside and outside Sudan, including in several neighboring countries.

For his part, Hadra explained to (Erem News) that such outlets operate with paid agendas that obstruct any call for peace, as they did in Jeddah, Manama, and Geneva. Hence, at the moment, they’re desperately attempting to recreate the same scenario in regards to the third Berlin Conference, even before it has convened.

Furthermore, the political analyst shared that the pursuit of peace is a humanitarian and ethical imperative, and that the Sudanese people will eventually reach this point. However, the Islamic Movement has relied on media platforms to disrupt any conference or initiative before it even begins.

He emphasized that utilizing this approach is no longer effective and will backfire on the Islamists, especially since the United States has designated the Muslim Brotherhood in Sudan as a “Terrorist Organization,” making them subject to prosecution and allowing their funds to be tracked everywhere.

For his part, writer and political analyst Mohamed El-Mokhtar Mohamed stated that the third Berlin Conference represents a new opportunity and a significantly broad international effort to stop the war, which -naturally- does not align with the Muslim Brotherhood’s agenda. He explained that the Brotherhood ignited this war with specific schemes aimed at returning to power, suppressing the revolution, and so on.

Mohamed further explained to (Erem News) that the Brotherhood’s schemes have been met with failure, even those in connection with the war itself. For they expected a swift and decisive victory before returning to power, however, that particular dream has yet to be realized; on the contrary, it has backfired.

He pointed out that the Brotherhood views any international initiative as an act against their interests because, for them, the war is a matter of survival, and their defeat would eliminate them from the equation, especially after their designation as a terrorist organization.

The writer and political analyst went on to clarify that the Quartet countries have acknowledged that extremist groups will not determine Sudan’s fate. Therefore, they are mobilizing all their media outlets to attack the third Berlin Conference. He added that they have blatantly employed ongoing political as well as military efforts to undermine the Conference on the ground.

Mohammed concluded his remarks by asserting that the Muslim Brotherhood is deliberately propelling the war to a more extreme stage through assassinations, as in the assassination of a leader in the Sudan Founding Alliance (Tasis), which, realistically encapsulated the attempts to thwart the Berlin Conference through utilizing MB-affiliated media fronts.
