In Yet Another Crime.. SAF bombs Al-Bura’eQurʾānic School in North Kordofan

Today, Thursday, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) condemned the Sudanese Armed Forces’ airstrike on Sheikh Al-Bura’e Qurʾānic School “khalawi” in the area of Al-Zuraiba, North Kordofan state.

In yet another crime to be penciled in the dark record of the terrorist Islamic Movement’s Army, drones targeted Sheikh Al-Bura’eQurʾānic school “khalawi” in North Kordofan this morning, Thursday, in what constitutes as a blatant attack on a purely civilian religious institution with absolutely no military objectives.

The aforementioned terrorist attack carried out by the hijacked SAF resulted in dozens of deaths and injuries amongst the Qurʾānicstudents and scholars, in a horrific massacre that constitutes a flagrant violation of all international and humanitarian conventions. Nevertheless, our forces’ medical teams, along with relevant authorities, are putting forth diligent efforts in performing their duties to treat the wounded and assess the human and material losses resulting from this criminal act.

Our forces condemn this particularly heinous crime in the strongest terms, affirming that the systematic targeting of civilians as well as places of education and worship constitutes a fully-fledged war crime that warrants accountability and international legal prosecution.
