The Tale of Yua’a
Safaa Al-Fahal

Truthfully, I’m not personally familiar with her, and have never met her in my life, nevertheless, we may have met amidst the demonstrations of the struggle revolution across Bahri. Furthermore, I continued to follow her news through the media and the statements of her neighbors, friends, and fellow activists in Bahri. She may have been orphaned, yet her chivalry, generosity, and the notable services she continued to provide to the young and old amongst her neighbors awarded her a mother, father, and brothers there. Hence, they came out, proclaiming the voice of truth and her eventful life, despite the false witnesses from “Al-Kizan” and the ideologically motivated judiciary, which continued to view her as an extension of the youth of the glorious December Revolution, pulsating -to the moment- with the spirit of freedom, peace, and justice. They sentenced her to death, not because she was guilty, but to make her an example for the voices they were unable to silence, despite the violence, killing, and reopening of ghost houses. Nonetheless, she certainly will not be broken.
The death sentence against the -barely- twenty years old “Yua’a,” is simply another facet of the terrorist operations and the systematic targeting of the youth of the revolution, as they’re being monitored by the Kizani (Security Cell) that has long been operating within the neighborhoods, until the ghost houses in many areas of the capital as well as the former headquarters of the National Congress Party (NCP) behind the expatriate buildings were filled with a group of young men whose only crime was suspicion of participating in the revolutionary demonstrations, not collaborating with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), as rumored. The aforementioned was executed under the watchful eye of the “Law,” which sentenced “Yua’a” to death because she remained steadfast, providing support to those unable to leave -for one reason or another- during the period of Rapid Support Forces’ control of Bahri, while the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), its (NCP) members, and its leaders fled to Port Sudan.
Recently, there has been an attempt to suggest that the country has become a closed circle for Islamists, through rebranding old slogans and the “exposed” policies pursued by remnants of the former regime under the protection of the coup committee. These policies aim to eliminate activists and revolutionaries before the war ends. Nevertheless, this will not succeed, despite the fact that many of the active youth of the December revolution are currently abroad, except for a few of them, who are awaiting the end of this chaos practiced by both sides to return stronger than ever. Because the aforementioned vengeful practices will not extinguish the fires of revolution and the demand for a new Sudan. Rather, they will only serve to intensify the flames and exacerbate the “reckoning” of accountability. As the era of “let bygones be bygones,” has come to an end, and everyone who has committed crimes against the nation’s youth must receive their just punishment.
Additionally, the attempt to (seemingly) circulate a general understanding to the common people about the expansion of Islamists and their remnants in all aspects of the State has been met with challenges beyond the scope of intellectual control through the concepts of the revolution, which have become deeply embedded in the hearts of every Sudanese citizen. Everyone now dreams of a civil democratic system, and the return of the military to the barracks has become a foregone conclusion, along with the dissolution of all militias, both ideological and tribal, and the formation of a single professional army. All attempts to change these concepts will only produce more killing and destruction, which will cause the Islamists and their supporters from the former regime’s mercenaries, to swim against the national current. Their (Quixotic) attempts to fight the nation’s youth will be awarded with nothing more than pushing the country into further conflict. Ultimately, only the truth will prevail, and only the desire of the youth, who raised the slogan of freedom, peace, democracy, and justice, will prevail, no matter how long it takes.
Our revolution will never stop..
Retribution is inevitable ..
Mercy and forgiveness be upon the righteous martyrs of the revolution..
