Fifty-Seven Thousand Employees Referred to Early Retirement

Recently, a technical committee tasked with reviewing and registering employees announced the referral of (57,000) first-grade employees and workers to the 15th (labor), representing a (60%) reduction in the total number of public sector employees.

The committee recommended referring an estimated (25%) to early retirement and eliminating the positions of another (35%).

Furthermore, the committee justified the afore referenced decisions by citing the need to reduce government spending due to the ongoing war in Sudan, which broke out in (April 2023).
