Arman to Al-Burhan: Steer clear of brokers..

The head of Sudan People’s Liberation Movement – Revolutionary Democratic Current, and member of the Forces of Freedom and Change – Central Council, Yasser Arman, sent a letter to the Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Army, 1st Lt. Gen. Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, regarding the circulating news of his intention to form a new government imminently.

Yasser Arman stated, in a tweet on the “X” platform, that forming a government will provide nothing in light of the current crisis, is rather costly, and will encourage the other party in the war to adopt similar measures, warning Al-Burhan not to listen to those he described as “crocodiles, power seekers, and brokers.”

Arman added that Al-Burhan must seek to put an end to this war and build new Armed Forces that can reconcile with the people and their demands.

Yasser Arman addressed the circulating news regarding the African Union’s intention to invite 50 Sudanese figures to start the political process, pointing out that it is a premature step that requires deep consultation with the parties, especially “TAGADOM” and other revolutionary forces, as well as the removal of the Islamists supporting the war.

He shared that, “Because we appreciate the African Union, we wish for it to get off to a good and successful start.”

Recently, news circulated that, head of the Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Army, 1st Lt. Gen. Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, was close to forming a de facto government with headquarters in the city of Port Sudan, Eastern Sudan.

Meanwhile, media websites also circulated news regarding the African Union’s intention to invite a number of Sudanese figures and consult with them about the crisis situation in Sudan, and to start a political process to end the war.
