Omdurman… And death from Starvation

Sheikh Al-Amin Omar Al-Amin revealed information regarding the death of citizens from starvation in the “Al-Mulazamin” and “Aburov” neighborhoods as well as a number of other neighborhoods in the city of Omdurman, stating: “Whoever doesn’t die by gunfire, dies of Famine.”

Sheikh Al-Amin added, on a call with “Dabanga” from his Maseed in the “Wad Nubawi” neighborhood of Omdurman, that the country is facing a severe crisis, as people are suffering from famine amidst progressively deteriorating security conditions.
He revealed that all food places in old Omdurman have stopped working, stating: “We are putting forth significant efforts to provide medicine and food. However, the pressure is too overwhelming and the surrounding areas are also suffering. People lack money to buy food, and the situation is dangerously close to becoming disastrous.”

Al-Amin confirmed that security is still largely non-existent, and neighboring regions and states are suffering from the perpetually rising dollar exchange rate, collapse of the economy, and the subsequent price inflation.

He pointed out that people lack money to buy food, and food supplies are scarce, foretelling an unfolding disaster.

Sheikh Al-Amin urged the Sudanese abroad to donate as much as one dollar, and stated that the donations of (10) million people would constitute a large amount that would make a huge difference.

Al-Amin spoke about their approach to addressing the issue of hunger in light of the continuous bombing and aerial attacks, as stores and pharmacies went out of business and life came to a complete halt with the lack of electricity and water.

Sheikh Al-Amin Omar Al-Amin went on to add that when the war broke out, they were forced to distribute the food available in the Maseed to the citizens, while his disciples made great efforts to secure water.
