For Mediation.. Abiy Ahmed arrives in Sudan
In an official visit to Sudan, the first visit of its kind since the outbreak of the Sudanese war, the Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed arrived at Port Sudan Airport today “Tuesday.”
During the visit, Abiy Ahmed will hold discussions with Army Commander-in-Chief, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan regarding peace in Sudan and the resumption of negotiations.
Last Saturday, Sudanese political and civil forces met in the Egyptian capital “Cairo” in a Conference under the slogan “Together to Stop the War in Sudan”. The Sudanese Army’s allies rejected its outcomes after their participation in the conference.
For its part, the Coordination-body of the Democratic and Civil Forces “TAGADOM” welcomed, on Monday, the outcomes of the Cairo Conference.
The Army Commander-in-Chief, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan is refusing to resume peace talks through the Jeddah Platform, despite the repeated defeats the Army Forces and Islamist brigades allied with him, along with some of the Armed Movements suffered at the hands of the the Rapid Support Forces, while the latter continued its progression on all fronts.
Military experts and specialized international research institutes are speaking about the Army Forces’ collapse before the Rapid Support Forces, which places great responsibility on the latter to be prepared to protect the country and prevent the collapse of the Sudanese State.
