As the US dollar surpassed an estimate of (5,700 pounds per dollar), whilst the Emirati dirham rose to (1,600 pounds per dirham), and the euro to (6,400 pounds).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"s3 wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;Furthermore, currency prices varied as traders were affected by the state of cash shortage, which, naturally, translated into reliance on banking applications with varying rates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"s3 wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;A currency trader, who preferred to remain anonymous, told (Assayha) that the continued decline in the Sudanese pound value against other currencies is largely due to the financing of the war. He added that the increasing economic pressures on the Sudanese citizens are a result of the pound\u2019s continued loss of value, noting that the decline in exports, compound with a shortage of foreign currency in the parallel market, only serves to emphasize the continued rise in the value of other currencies at the expense of the Sudanese pound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"s3 wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;An economic expert further shared that the recent decisions to cancel the validity of some currency denominations and adopt certain official prices contributed to an increased demand for hard currencies as a safe haven to preserve the value of money, in addition to adjusting the value of the customs dollar to (3,517 pounds per dollar), which directly impacted the costs of imported goods and increased inflation rates in local markets.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;Today, Monday, the foreign currencies\u2019 value in the parallel market reached new record highs against the Sudanese pound.
