Today, Sunday, the President of the Presidential Council, Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, accepted the invitation put forth by the students who took the Sudanese Certificate examinations to participate in their celebrations -marking the conclusion of their exams. The event maintained an atmosphere of joy and pride in achieving this educational milestone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During his address at the celebration, Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo emphasized the importance of continuing to support the education sector and ensuring its sustainability. He praised the students’ determination and perseverance in pursuing their education and commended the efforts put forth -rather diligently- by the teachers, ministers, educational administrations, and other entities that contributed to the overall success in holding the Sudanese Certificate exams. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He stated that the process of successfully carrying out the Sudanese Certificate exams in areas under the Peace Government’s control “served to break down barriers and shatter the hopes of those who spread misinformation.” He pointed out that certain countries and entities had worked -in a rather underhanded manner- to thwart the process of holding the Sudanese Certificate exams, as the very possibility of the exams’ organization represented a challenge to such attempts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, the President of the Presidential Council affirmed that the government will continue to put forth diligent efforts to develop the education sector, maintain schools, and reopen universities, sharing, “We will make it a reality, despite the wishes of the skeptics.” He noted that students who completed the exams would be able to continue their studies both domestically and abroad. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, Daglo expressed his satisfaction at the successful completion of the Sudanese Certificate exams’ process and criticized what he described as the hypocrisy of some parties who kept speaking about human rights and children’s rights whilst millions of students and children have been deprived of their right to education for three years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He called on students to continue their journey and focus on their studies, praising the valiant soldiers of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) for their contribution to the process, which, in a sense, enabled the students to study and take the exams. He prayed for mercy and forgiveness for the martyrs, healing for the wounded, and the safe return of POWs and missing persons. He further asserted that the militias of the Islamic Movement Army are killing the prisoners of war (POWs). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During his address, and in regards to a new school -to be named \u201cAl-Wahda \/ Unity Model School,\u201d the President of the Presidential Council directed that the construction of the aforementioned school be expedited, emphasizing that it will be the first of its kind in (Nyala). He further called for expediting the process of marking the Sudanese Certificate exams and working to open advanced universities in an effort to accommodate students. He went on to stress the necessity of awarding education the highest priority as the foundation of progress and development. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the ceremony, the Government of Peace and Unity affirmed that holding the Sudanese Certificate examinations under the exceptional and complex circumstances the country is experiencing embodies its commitment to making education a top priority, for it constitutes the cornerstone of human development, consolidating security and stability, and achieving sustainable development. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For her part, Ms. Hawa Sharoufa, principal of Al-Wahda School in Nyala, described Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo as \u201cthe father of education, the marginalized, and the impoverished,\u201d emphasizing that everyone supports the Government of Peace. She stated that the students who wee granted the opportunity to take the Sudanese Certificate examinations under these circumstances possess strong determination and will make a significant difference in the course of education and the country. She expressed gratitude to the President of the Presidential Council for accepting the students’ invitation and participating in the examinations’ conclusion ceremony. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Principle Hawa added that the success of the Sudanese Certificate examinations was the result of the combined efforts put forth by the government institutions, educational authorities, and community administrations, which contributed to providing a suitable environment for students to take their exams, despite the challenges imposed by the ongoing war in the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The celebration included various segments during which students expressed their joy at finishing their exams, affirming their aspirations for a brighter future. They further expressed their gratitude to the President of the Presidential Council for accepting their invitation and sharing in their happiness on this occasion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
