The aforementioned development was preceded by a number of airstrikes launched by the Egyptian Army against the miners, which, tragically, claimed the innocent lives of hundreds and wounded others, whilst the de facto military-led government in Port Sudan remained silent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"s3 wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;For their part, miners in the North Valley region stated that the Egyptian Army deployed additional ground troops in&nbsp;armored&nbsp;and combat vehicles, occupying more Sudanese territory and expelling the miners.
