Recently, informed sources revealed that a human rights committee comprised of Sudanese lawyers is occupied with preparing -rather diligently- legal memoranda to be submitted to the International Criminal Court (ICC), the UN Security Council (UNSC), and the US Congress. The aforementioned memoranda will address the verified existence of compelling documents and evidence implicating Egypt in the ongoing relentless bombing campaigns that intransigently targets civilians in the region of Darfur. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the sources, the afore referenced human rights committee is relying on “conclusive evidence and documents” indicating the use of \u201cAkinci\u201d drones in repeated attacks on cities in Darfur. Furthermore, these drones were launched from Al-‘Uweinat Military Base -located within Egyptian territory. The sources noted that the most recent attacks targeted Nyala, Zalingei, El-Geneina, and Ad-Daein Hospital, claiming the innocent lives of approximately (120 civilians). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sources further stated that drone strikes represent a daily threat to civilian lives, explaining that such attacks have resulted in thousands of casualties, a significant number of whom were women and children. Moreover, the aircraft used carried \u201cIHA-230\u201d missiles, developed by the Turkish company (Roketsan), and designed for launch from \u201cBayraktar Akinci drones.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the same context, multiple sources attributed the notable escalation in airstrikes to economic as well as political repercussions, including the halt of Sudanese exports to Egypt, in addition to what they described as the failure of numerous attempts to sow discord within the Rapid Support Forces by recruiting some military leaders.
