Ibrahim Al-Mirghani, the Minister of Cabinet Affairs in the Government of Peace and Unity stated that war cannot be stopped unilaterally. He explained that in regards to the war in Sudan, there are two parties: one, the Peace Government, being prepared to end the war and has repeatedly declared its acceptance of a ceasefire. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Al-Mirghani went on to add that the other party is unwilling to end the war, has repeatedly rejected ceasefires, withdrawn from all peace initiatives, and insists on resolving the conflict militarily. This party, he asserted, is the Port Sudan Authorities and, behind them, the Sudanese Islamic Movement along with its militias. For they understand that ending the war would mean the end of their plans to return to power in Sudan, as they thrive on the war, which has provided ample opportunity for their networks of corruption. Therefore, effective international coordination is necessary to compel them to end the war or face its consequences alone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Regarding the new appointments and decisions within the Peace Government, Al-Mirghani explained to (Erem News) that completing the basic structures of the State represents a crucial strategic step towards building the institutions of the new Sudanese State. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He noted that Federal Councils had been formed, the Judiciary and Public Prosecution Offices had been activated, in addition, the Security and Police Forces, as well as Tax and Customs Authorities had been rebuilt, all within the framework of the transitional constitutional agreement of the Sudan Founding Alliance (Tasis). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Al-Mirghani concluded his remarks by emphasizing that the aforementioned structures would enable the government to perform its duties efficiently, provide essential services to citizens in liberated areas, ensure the rule of law, protect humanitarian aid, and promote stability throughout the country.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
