The Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan was rather adamant in his act of refuting the reports issued by the \u201cSudanese Doctors\u2019 Network,\u201d as he shared remarks about what he described as the role of some doctors who were serving in areas controlled by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) during the war in the capital, Khartoum. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to statements attributed to Al-Burhan, the aforementioned doctors \u201cplayed a crucial role, as instruments of war.\u201d Furthermore, they carried out \u201cduties such as espionage, providing coordinates, and reporting on collaborators.\u201d Adding that he described such contributions as \u201cinforming against\/reporting,\u201d however, he was quick to justify it and attribute such behavior to \u201censuring victories.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Additionally, Al-Burhan’s statements included references to casualties that occurred as a result of providing the afore referenced information, and to its use in \u201cmassacres committed by the RSF in Khartoum,\u201d and that doctors \u201cwere responsible for preparing the blacklists for liquidation.\u201d Moreover, Al-Burhan’s statements further included that doctors were killed in Wad Medani \u201cbecause their colleagues reported them for refusing to finish off the wounded,\u201d and that such behavior occurred in southern Khartoum and Al-Jazeera state. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The statements also relayed previously circulated allegations that some doctors had \u201cperformed unnecessary amputations on wounded RSF soldiers, injected them with hepatitis-contaminated blood, or used incompatible blood types in transfusions,\u201d which naturally caused their untimely deaths. The statements further alleged that \u201cthose in white coats broke their oath and were executing the wounded.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The statements concluded by asserting that \u201cthere are no innocents or civilians in this war,\u201d and that \u201cthe Sudanese Doctors’ Committee, the Sudanese Doctors’ Union, and other such organizations are no more than fronts for the Intelligence Service.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
