Sources affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood reported today, Tuesday, the death of one of its prominent leaders, Arif Ahmed Adeel, known as \u201cSheikh Abu Tamer,\u201d during clashes in the city of Dilling, South Kordofan state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the sources, Adeel was killed whilst participating in the ongoing battles in the city, for he held a leadership position within \u201cAl-Baraa Ibn Malik\u201d Brigade and was considered a close associate of the Brigade\u2019s Commander, known as \u201cAlmusbah.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Adeel was a veteran fighter, having previously participated in the armed conflict in South Sudan, and according to the same sources, he accumulated combat experience abroad, including in Afghanistan, and had previously been involved with \u201cDa\u2019esh\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Furthermore, the information provided indicated that the late Islamist leader specialized in operating drones and had received advanced training in Iran under the supervision of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following the announcement of his death, figures associated with the Islamic Movement mourned Adeel\u2019s death, describing his passing as a great loss. Moreover, amongst those who expressed such sentiments were journalists and former leaders in the group, including Hajj Majid Suwar, who described the incident as an \u201cextremely demanding day.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
