Despite the desperate attempts by the \u201cIslamic Movement\u201d in Sudan (the Muslim Brotherhood) to conceal their true intentions, thus allowing them room to align themselves, all the guises they have adopted \u2014whether military or religious\u2014 have served to expose their hypocrisy and deception of the Sudanese people, thus ultimately revealing their alignment with the destabilizing Iranian project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Fatwa Permitting Bloodshed\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n In a Friday sermon (Khutba) that was supposed to be limited to purely religious and spiritual matters, Abdul-Hayy Youssef, a leader in the \u201cIslamic Movement\u201d in Sudan and a member of the Supreme Shura Council, did not hesitate to include wars and political alignments in his agenda, in continuation of their approach of mixing religion and politics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n As during a sermon he delivered at a mosque in T\u00fcrkiye, which he later published on his website, the man appeared to be acting as an envoy and spokesperson for Iran, issuing a fatwa that incited sedition and division, in a speech that underscored the organic relationship between the two sides. <\/p>\n\n\n\n From the pulpit, he issued a fatwa mandating support for Iran, completely overlooking the blatant Iranian aggression against the Gulf States and Jordan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Youssef, who manages the Movement’s media outlets through his satellite channel “Tayba,” affiliated with the Islamic Movement, had previously revealed in a leaked recording the Muslim Brotherhood’s control over the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the reins of power in Port Sudan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n In the leaked recording last year, Youssef described the Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Army, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, as someone who “cannot touch the Islamists in control, even within his own office.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n Furthermore, Abdul-Hayy’s fatwa aligns with the incitement of Tariq Kajab, a brigadier general in the Sudanese Army, who has repeatedly called on Iran to target vital facilities in the Gulf States. <\/p>\n\n\n\n In a new video posted on social media, Kajab, who served as a physician to the ousted Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir, made an appearance promoting inflammatory rhetoric with explicit intentions of incitement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The Muslim Brotherhood affiliated officer implicitly as well as explicitly called for targeting vital infrastructure across the Gulf States. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The aforementioned appearance comes amidst a series of similar statements issued by figures affiliated with the Sudanese Army and the Muslim Brotherhood, reflecting a worrying trend amongst some of these voices as they chose to adopt an inflammatory rhetoric that aligns with regional agendas as well as raises serious questions regarding its repercussions on regional security and Arab relations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Following the reckless statements made by Officer Tariq Kajab, a leader affiliated with the Sudanese Muslim Brotherhood has issued a fatwa inciting sedition in support of Iran, revealing, in turn, the true nature of a bloody project that is gradually emerging.
