The office of the Prime Minister of the Government of Peace and Unity revealed that it has addressed the United Nations regarding disinformation campaigns waged by the Intelligence Apparatus and countries that support the Muslim Brotherhood’s Army in Sudan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a press statement issued today, Friday, the Prime Minister shared that he is following with concern the extensive media and institutional disinformation campaign being waged by the notorious intelligence apparatus of the Islamic Movement, for the latter even managed to influence certain international institutions, particularly the United Nations mission in Sudan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that, based on false information provided by the aforementioned notorious apparatus, Ms. Denise Brown hastily issued a statement that contained inaccurate claims regarding the targeting of a World Food Programme humanitarian aid convoy. Rather unfortunately, this was followed by statements issued by embassies of countries supporting the Muslim Brotherhood’s Army, as well as other statements that were misled by Ms. Brown’s statement, such as those issued by the High Commissioner for Human Rights and the British government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Press Statement<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n We have followed with deep concern the extensive media and institutional misinformation campaign being led by the notorious intelligence apparatus of the Islamic Movement, which has even managed to influence certain international institutions, particularly the United Nations mission in Sudan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Based on false information provided by this disreputable apparatus, Ms. Denise Brown hastily issued a statement containing inaccurate claims regarding the targeting of a humanitarian aid convoy belonging to the World Food Programme. This was followed by statements from embassies of countries supporting the Muslim Brotherhood army, as well as other remarks misled by Ms. Brown\u2019s statement, including comments from the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and a statement by the British government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We affirm to the public that the claim that the Rapid Support Forces targeted a World Food Programme aid convoy is entirely false. On the contrary, the close field-level coordination between us at the National Humanitarian Access Authority and United Nations agencies contributed, this week alone, to the delivery of more than 18 humanitarian aid trucks arriving from El-Obeid. We supervised their protection until they safely reached the city of Al-Dalang, where relief supplies were distributed to beneficiaries without incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In response to these false allegations, we formally contacted Mr. Tom Fletcher, Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, and provided him with all documentation substantiating the misinformation and politicization of humanitarian aid.
