In addition, the two sides affirmed the importance of the 2026 UN Water Conference, co-hosted by the UAE and Senegal, as a key opportunity to strengthen global action on water security. They agreed to cooperate closely in an effort to achieve tangible, effective, and measurable results across Africa through initiatives such as the “Mohamed bin Zayed Water Initiative.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The concluding statement noted that the meeting built upon the first round of political consultations held in Abu Dhabi on “September 13th, 2015,” within the framework of the “2019 Memorandum of Understanding,” and reaffirmed the shared commitment of both sides to further strengthen the partnership between the United Arab Emirates and the African Union. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Additionally, they agreed on the importance of the “2063 Agenda,” particularly the flagship initiative of \u201cSilencing the Guns by 2030,\u201d as well as the African Continental Free Trade Area, emphasizing the interconnectedness of peace, security, trade, and development.
