The Sudan Founding Alliance (Tasis) announced that more than seven leaders and notables of the Native Administration were killed in an attack by a drone of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) during their visit to Heglig, as the area is currently under the Rapid Support Forces’ control. Press Statement on the Targeting of Native Administration Leaders in Heglig<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Today, Tuesday, a combat drone operated by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) targeted a delegation of the Misseriyatribe’s Native Administration leaders during their visit to Heglig, which resulted in the death of Chief Hamdan Jar Al-Nabi, a prominent figure in the Misseriya tribe, in addition to more than seven other Native Administration leaders and notables. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This act of targeting, perpetrated by the Muslim Brotherhood’s Army, aims to create chaos and destabilize the local social fabric, which would naturally further exacerbate the unbearable suffering of the population, and threaten the stability of the affected areas. Such an attack is simply part of the Brotherhood’s strategy, as they’ve yet to demonstrate any hesitation in sacrificing the Sudanese people in order to pave their path of returning to power. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Whilst we hold the Brotherhood’s Army fully responsible for the aforementioned crime, we call upon the international community and human rights organizations to launch a transparent and independent investigation into the incident, and hold those responsible accountable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We will continue to confront these terrorists, and put forth diligent efforts into the process of liberating our country from the oppression and injustice enforced by the Muslim Brotherhood, so that our nation can enjoy the coveted sense of security and stability. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
