The Sudan Founding Alliance (Tasis) issued a press statement commenting on the UN Human Rights Council Session on the situation in El Fasher, held on Saturday as its 38th Session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Alliance\u2019s official spokesperson, Dr. AlaaEl-Din Nugud, expressed the Alliance\u2019s regret that most of the statements presented during the aforementioned session relied on what he described as \u201cmisleading information.\u201d Which included fabricated news, videos, and images created using artificial intelligence techniques, as well as reports that he shared were circulated after the liberation of El Fasher and its return \u2013as he put it\u2013 to \u201cthe embrace of the homeland\u201d following a period of hegemony by political Islamist groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He emphasized that an \u201cunprofessional\u201d media campaign accompanied the events in the city, noting that security was restored due to \u201cthe sacrifices of the Sudan Founding Alliance Forces.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The official spokesperson for the Alliance added that the visit of the Peace Government delegation to El Fasher exposed the falsehood of the circulating reports. For the delegation witnessed firsthand the conditions of the citizens following the Islamist militias\u2019 previous acts of preventing their movement. In addition, the delegation oversaw the resumption of hospital services, the entry of humanitarian aid, and the gradual return to normalcy. Furthermore, the Engineering Teams continued to carry out their duties, clearing mines and explosives from residential areas and civilian institutions, which, a fact the Alliance criticized the omission of during the Council session\u2019s statements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Dr. Alaa El-Din Nugud\u2019sexplanation, the Peace Government had formed an Independent National Commission of Inquiry into the events of El-Fasher, and as due process, a number of individuals accused of committing violations had been arrested. Nevertheless, this information was omitted, as well, during the session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The spokesperson, along with the Peace and Unity Government, welcomed any international fact-finding mission visiting the regions under their control to ascertain the facts and refute the lies. As he called for reliance on field information rather than on \u201cpolitically biased\u201d external sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He shared that what he described as the \u201cIslamic Movement\u2019s Army\u201d rejected the formation of the mission in (October 2023) and ignored its repeated attempts to contact them throughout (2024). Meanwhile, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) expressed their full cooperation with the fact-finding mission, according to the Alliance, however, the former has yet to visit the regions under their control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Furthermore, the Alliance\u2019s official spokesperson reiterated his welcome of the UN Expert, Radhouane Nouicer\u2019s visit, in accordance with his statement -issued on July 29th, 2025, noting that the UN Expert has yet to take any practical steps to visit RSF-controlled areas, to date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe party obstructing the process of uncovering the truth and resorting to fabrications and misleading the media has become clear,\u201d according to the spokesperson for (Tasis), reiterating his welcome of the arrival of a fact-finding mission from the Human Rights Council to visit the areas controlled by the Government of Peace and Unity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In conclusion, he went on to affirm his commitment to the peace option, holding the \u201cIslamic Movement\u2019s Army\u201d responsible for sabotaging truces, refusing a ceasefire, and igniting war. He emphasized that the Alliance will continue to put forth diligent efforts to achieve the aspirations of the Sudanese people for freedom, peace, justice, and equality, as called for by the glorious December Revolution.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
