The Sudan National Observatory for Human Rights (SNOHR) accused members of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), Al-Baraa Ibn Malik, and the Sudan Shield militias of looting citizens’ property, which -naturally- threatens the voluntary return prospects of those forcibly displaced by the conflict in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Furthermore, the National Observatory stated that there has been widespread looting incidents of the contents of displaced persons’ homes, in addition to retaliatory campaigns launched by members of the Sudanese Army and extremist militias against innocent civilians following the withdrawal of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) from Khartoum and Al-Jazeera states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The (SNOHR) condemned the incidents of theft and looting of property, affirming that Customary International Law prohibits looting in accordance with (Rule 52 and Rule 11).
