The Council emphasized the involvement of those sanctioned in igniting the war, obstructing Sudan&#8217;s democratic transition, and threatening national and regional security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"s9\">&#8220;The US decision has confirmed what advocates of peace and democracy have been solemnly reiterating: That those sanctioned represent dangerous allies of the Iranian regime and destructive forces in Sudan. For they have played a key role in igniting and prolonging the war, as well as obstructing the Sudanese people&#8217;s path towards achieving democratic transformation, in addition to being implicated in the arrests, torture, and executions of civilians who chose to oppose the war,&#8221; according to the Council of Ministers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"s9\">Furthermore, the Council of Ministers of the Peace and Unity Government believes that the sanctions and precise designations highlighted and correctly emphasized the Islamists responsible for igniting the&nbsp;war,asthey continue to play the greatest role in its continuation, threatening the peace and security of Sudan and the entire region as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"s9\">In conclusion, the Council reiterated its full commitment, in accordance with the 2025 Interim Constitution and the Sudan Founding Alliance Charter, to combat terrorism, terrorists, and all those who seek to undermine the stability of Sudan and the region.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;The Peace Government&#8217;s Council of Ministers welcomed the sanctions announced by the US Treasury Department on Friday against the head of the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM), Jibril Ibrahim, and the terrorist Al-Baraa Ibn Malik Militia.
