The Governor of Darfur Region and member of the Presidential Council in the Government of Peace and Unity, Dr. Al-Hadi Idris, issued an urgent appeal to the citizens of El-Fasher, North Darfur, who have been unable to leave the city during the recent period, to head to the area of (Garni) for evacuation to safe areas within 48 hours.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Dr. Al-Hadi went on to state, in light of the tense and critical security situation in El-Fasher, “I would like to urge the citizens and appeal to them -with a great sense of urgency- If you are still inside the city and have yet to leave, please take immediate action to evacuate the city within the next 48 hours.”<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
He confirmed that security forces are present and ready to secure the evacuation of\u00a0civilians\u00a0process, adding that the forces are prepared and stationed in the area of (Garni).<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
The Governor of Darfur Region went on to urge, “Please head immediately to the Garni area.
