The group stated that his arrest was carried out without legal basis or an arrest warrant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"s9\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"s9\">In a statement on its Facebook page, the group added that Dr. Talab was arrested and denied his legal rights, including contact with his family or lawyer, in clear violation of the guarantees provided by national law and international human rights standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"s9\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"s9\">The Emergency Lawyers group held the authorities that carried out the arrest fully responsible for his physical and psychological well-being, emphasizing that what Dr. Mohamed Talab is being subjected to is part of a systematic and repeated pattern of behavior targeting professionals and civilian volunteers in an extra-legal manner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"s9\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"s9\">The human rights group considered the practices of the de facto authorities in Port Sudan a grave violation of constitutional rights and principles of justice.
