{"id":161471,"date":"2025-06-12T13:34:42","date_gmt":"2025-06-12T11:34:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/assayha.net\/en\/?p=161471"},"modified":"2025-06-12T13:34:42","modified_gmt":"2025-06-12T11:34:42","slug":"the-port-sudan-authority-detains-370-trucks-carrying-humanitarian-aid-to-darfur","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/assayha.net\/en\/161471\/","title":{"rendered":"The Port Sudan Authority detains 370 trucks carrying humanitarian aid to Darfur"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The de facto authorities in Port Sudan detained (70 trucks) carrying humanitarian aid in the city of Ad-Dabbah, Northern state, which were headed to Darfur.<\/p>\n<p>A reliable source confirmed that the de facto authorities in Port Sudan also detained (300) other trucks.<\/p>\n<p>This particular development comes a week after Sudanese military aircraft targeted an aid convoy in the area of Al-Koma, as the convoy was en route to the city of El-Fasher.<\/p>\n<p>The source attributed the Port Sudan Authority&#8217;s obstruction of aid as part of its plan to utilize starvation as a weapon by hindering aid access to Darfur and Kordofan.<\/p>\n<p>The Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan previously stated blatantly that they hadn&#8217;t allowed aid to reach those areas.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, the Sudanese Army bombed World Food Programme (WFP) aid trucks in Al-Koma, North Darfur state, which resulted in the death of approximately (6) truck drivers as well.<\/p>\n<p>It is rather noteworthy that the region of Darfur includes more than (10) IDPs Camps, providing shelter for individuals who were displaced from their villages of origin since the (2003 war) during Al-Bashir regime, as the latter committed crimes of genocide in the region.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The de facto authorities in Port Sudan detained (70 trucks) carrying humanitarian aid in the city of Ad-Dabbah, Northern state, which were headed to Darfur.
