The Resistance Committees of Salha, south of Omdurman, revealed that the Sudanese Armed Forces’ personnel continue to loot homes and property in the area, two weeks after the Sudanese Army announced it had regained control of the area.<\/p>\n

The Resistance Committees of Salha shared that vehicles and trucks, including tuk-tuks and rickshaws, were seen transporting looted items from within the neighborhoods without any apparent intervention from the military authorities to prevent these violations.<\/p>\n

The statement explained that the raids targeted inhabited homes, where citizens were threatened at gunpoint. Money and cell phones were even stolen from passersby in the streets, raising serious concerns regarding the lack of security and the spread of chaos.<\/p>\n

The Resistance Committees explained that the looting expanded after the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) withdrew from the area, to include homes that hadn’t previously been looted.<\/p>\n

The Resistance Committees called on the Military Command to “assume its legal and moral responsibilities” by immediately halting the violations and providing protection for residents, stressing that the silence of the leadership could be interpreted as tacit complicity.<\/p>\n

The Committees confirmed that the people of Salha are still suffering from the effects of war and destruction, despite the partial restoration of electricity and basic services.
