The heads of the Sudanese Social Clubs and Community in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) praised the recent statement by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which affirmed the country’s continued support for the Sudanese people and the Sudanese community residing in the (UAE), considering it a message of affection and reassurance amidst the tensions sparked by a decision issued by the Port Sudan Authority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mohamed Baha’a El-Din, head of the Sudanese Community in Abu Dhabi, emphasized that the (UAE) has been and will remain the first and best choice for Sudanese, in appreciation of its residency facilitations, as well as safe and supportive environment. He noted that the recent Emirati decision brought joy to the hearts of the Sudanese, who consider the (UAE) a second home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For his part, Ahmed Hassan, head of the Sudanese Social Club in Al Ain, noted that the (UAE) has continued to open its doors to the Sudanese people since the outbreak of the ongoing war in Sudan, providing them with safety and dignity. He added that the post-war period witnessed a significant influx of Sudanese who were met with welcome and support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the same context, Professor Abu Bakr Mubarak Abdullah expressed his concern regarding the repercussions of the statements issued by the Port Sudan Authority, calling on the latter to favor the voice of reason and put forth efforts to preserve the fraternal relations between the two countries. He praised the extensive Emirati support that has encompassed thousands of Sudanese families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Awad Rahma, head of the Sudanese Community in Ajman, reiterated that the UAE’s stance toward Sudan and Sudanese residents stems from its deeply-rooted humanitarian values. He made it a point to reference the initiatives launched since the beginning of the war, which have provided food, education, treatment, and shelter to tens of thousands of Sudanese nationals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Community leaders agreed that Emirati-Sudanese relations are deep-rooted and that the Sudanese live within a cohesive Emirati society that provides them with security and stability.
