The authorities in Port Sudan had previously exchanged the currency for a newer version in areas under their control, while the latter development has yet to be implemented in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, a significant increase in the value of Gulf currencies against the Sudanese pound was recorded, with the Saudi riyal reaching (714.4 pounds).
