Mohamed Hamdan Daglo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate, <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">May Allah peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Mohammad and upon all his family and companions <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">To our cherished people of Sudan,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">To our valiant RSF soldiers,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">In your name, all of you \u2014 we offer mercy to the souls of our heroic martyrs, who gave their lives for the sake of this homeland.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">We pray for a swift recovery for the wounded and injured and the safe return of the prisoners and missing.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">On this day, three years ago, a new war was forced upon our country. A war that was not sparked by the will of the people, but by a military elite holding on to power. Three years of bloodshed. Three years of displacement. Three years of broken promises. Yet, despite all the suffering, Sudan remains strong.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Today, I speak not only as the Commander of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), but also as a citizen, one among millions who dreams of a Sudan that is free, diverse, and peaceful. The strength of Sudan does not lie in weapons, but in the will of its people.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">We are not at war because we love violence, we are at war because every peaceful path was blocked by the Sudanese Armed Forces and their Islamist sponsors.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">We did not choose confrontation. We engaged in every dialogue in Jeddah, Geneva, and Manama. Each time, we came with open hands. Each time, we were rejected.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Our great people:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">The crisis we are facing today is not merely a conflict between armed groups, but rather a painful result of a political system that has failed its people for decades. Since Sudan\u2019s independence in 1956, we have witnessed more coups than constitutions. Every attempt by the Sudanese people to reclaim their future has been met with bullets, arrests, and deception.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">We remember the sacrifices of 2019, a revolution that was born in the streets of Atbara, Omdurman, Khartoum, and El Geneina. A revolution carried by students, women, workers, and dreamers. It was a cry for dignity and justice. However, it was hijacked by the army, led by General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">He overturned the civil-led government in 2021, obstructed the progress toward democracy, and resumed ruling as al-Bashir once did with force, oppression, and deals among the elite. The recent release of senior officials from al-Bashir era \u2014 Bakri Hassan Saleh and Youssef Abdel Fattah Mahmoud, under the excuse of health care, exposes a long-hidden truth: al-Burhan is not fighting to save Sudan, but to bring back its dark past. The men who oversaw the genocide in Darfur, who enabled terrorism, corruption, and dictatorship, are being welcomed again into the core of power.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">This is not justice, this is betrayal.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Honorable citizens:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">The only solution that Al-Burhan offers to solve the political crisis is military occupation<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">His only idea of governance is war. Under his leadership, the Sudanese Armed Forces have turned into a hammer that crushes everything in their way. Cities are bombed indiscriminately. Humanitarian access to war-affected areas is blocked. Food, money, and education have been turned into weapons.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">They claim to defend the homeland. But how does someone defend one&#8217;s homeland by burning down one&#8217;s own homes? By arresting doctors and killing children and women with barrel bombs and banned chemical weapons? By starving entire regions through economic blockades, denying humanitarian access, and liquidating civilians on ethnic grounds under the so-called \u201cLaw of Strange Faces.\u201d?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">The Port Sudan clique has no political plan. It has no economic roadmap. It has no comprehensive vision. Its only objective is to protect the privileges of a narrow Islamic military elite. Most importantly, it has no place for the Sudanese people, only for a selective group.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Al-Burhan administration\u2019s recent issuing of a new currency, valid only in the areas under his control, is a dangerous move toward a de facto division. It brings back the painful mistakes that once led to the separation of the South. Today, they are trying to divide us once more, not just by borders, but by identity, dignity, and regionalism.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Our great people: <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">On the contrary, we, together with our civilian allies, have chosen a different path. A path that understands that weapons alone cannot solve political problems. A path that reflects Sudan\u2019s diversity as its greatest strength, not its greatest threat. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">On this anniversary, we proudly declare the establishment of the Government of Peace and Unity, a broad civilian coalition that reflects the true face of Sudan. Alongside all Sudanese civil and political forces, the Sudanese Revolutionary Front, civil society, women\u2019s organizations, youth movements, and resistance committees, we signed a historic transitional constitution, a roadmap for a new Sudan.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">This document includes the following:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">\u2022 A decentralized federal system that allows regions to govern themselves with dignity and justice.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">\u2022 A unified, professional, non-political army formed from all regions of Sudan, reflecting the demographic diversity of our people.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">\u2022 Equal rights for all, regardless of race, religion, gender, or language.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">\u2022 Separation of religion and state, guaranteeing religious freedom and neutrality of the state.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">\u2022 A 15-member Presidential Council, representing all regions, symbolizing our voluntary unity.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">We are not building a parallel state. We are building the only realistic future for Sudan. Our government will provide essential services \u2014 education, health care, and justice \u2014 not only in areas under RSF control, but throughout the country. We are creating a new currency to restore dignity to the economy. We are issuing new identity documents so that no Sudanese is stripped of their rights. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">This is not a warlord state. It is a government of the people.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Honorable citizens:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Let us be clear: if the Islamic Movement led by al-Burhan regain full control of Sudan, this will not save the country, this will only bury it.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">I assure you: this will never happen. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">We will never allow the return of past tyranny. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">We will never allow the Sudanese people to be ignored.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">If the Islamic Movement takes over the power, we will see the return of secret prisons, and ghost houses, forced disappearances, and the suffocating presence of intelligence agents in every home and mosque. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">The ghosts of al-Bashir regime will chase every institution. The dream of democracy will vanish for an entire generation. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Sudan will not remain one nation but will break into fragments, territories ruled by militias in official uniform.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Port Sudan has already become a base for foreign intervention, as the Sudanese Armed Forces hijacked by the Islamic movement depend on Egyptian and Iranian support to keep a weak hold over the East\u2026Let us not allow history to repeat itself.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Our cherished people:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Our vision is clear. We do not seek domination, but unity. We believe that no tribe, region, or religion holds a monopoly over Sudanese identity. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">In Nairobi, the Sudanese people came together, not as Arabs or Africans, Muslims or Christians, but as Sudanese: proud, diverse, and peaceful. We signed the most comprehensive charter in our nation&#8217;s history, with one goal, which is to ensure that Sudan is never again ruled by a minority elite.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">We are building a state of law, not a state ruled by individuals. A Sudan where women make up 40% of the legislature. A Sudan where no region is considered marginal. A Sudan that is not Islamic, but democratic, tolerant, and just.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">We extend our hand to the world, not to seek permission, but to form partnerships.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">To our neighbors \u2014 Ethiopia, Chad, Uganda, and Kenya, we thank you for welcoming our people during their darkest hours. We reaffirm our commitment to the Sudan\u2019s unity and your stability.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">To the African Union \u2014 we call upon you to recognize the democratic will of the Sudanese people and not to remain hostage to the coup plotters in Port Sudan.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">To the United States \u2014 we offer our warmest congratulations to President Donald Trump. We believe that, under his leadership, America can play an essential role in ending this war. President Trump has spoken of ending endless wars \u2014 and Sudan must be one of them.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">We commit to the following:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">\u2022 Full cooperation with humanitarian and human rights organizations.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">\u2022 Ensuring Sudan never becomes a base for international terrorism.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">\u2022 Protecting the Red Sea and rejecting its use as a battleground for geopolitical conflict.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">\u2022 Ensuring a safe and open access for humanitarian workers and rebuilding safe corridors for displaced persons.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Our cherished people:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Three years into this war, Sudan stands at a crossroads. Either we allow the past to drag us backward, or we forge a new way forward.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">The RSF, together with our partners in the Sudan Founding Alliance, stand with the people. We do not seek power for ourselves, but rather power for the Sudanese people \u2014 to choose, to govern, to live freely, and to achieve justice.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">The RSF, together with the Government of Peace and Unity, stands with the people. We do not seek power for ourselves, we seek power for the Sudanese people: to choose, to govern, and to live with dignity.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">What happened in Nairobi was not merely a conference. It was not a photo opportunity or a symbolic event. It was a breakthrough, politically and morally, when the long-silenced Sudanese majority stood up and declared their rightful ownership of the homeland.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Not under the banner of a one party, faction, or race but under the banner of a common hope and belonging. Let the world know: we are not a parallel government, but we are the ones who hold true legitimacy.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">We are building this government not for one region or certain people, but for every Sudanese who has ever felt forgotten, marginalized, or excluded.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">We do not seek to build a new Sudan only, but we seek to bury what was corrupt in the old Suda.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">We will build schools instead of rubble. We will turn trenches into roads, and<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">bombed markets into thriving malls.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">We will not forget the displaced in Chad, South Sudan, Egypt, and Ethiopia.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">We will not abandon the refugees driven out by war and neglect.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">They will return to a homeland that welcomes them.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">We open our hearts to all our neighbors, to the international community, and to every Sudanese ready to work for peace.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">But let it be known:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">We will not allow foreign powers to turn Sudan into a chessboard for regional ambitions or rivalries on the Red Sea.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Sudan is a sovereign nation. Sudan now has a government from the people, with the people, and for the people.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">To those who betrayed the revolution, who fled the capital while it burned, and now cling to foreign allies in Port Sudan, we say: You will have no place in Sudan\u2019s future unless you accept the will of the people.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">There will be no return to the former regime that divided us by tribe, language, or belief.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">There will be no return to al-Bashir\u2019s Sudan. That door is closed forever.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">No child born today in Darfur, Blue Nile, or Kassala should ever grow up believing they are second-class citizens.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">No Sudanese should ever again be asked to prove their belonging.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">From this day on, let us write a new story: A story of belonging. A story of reconstruction.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">A story of unity, not by force, but by consent.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Let this be the beginning of Sudan\u2019s second independence, not from a foreign empire, but from tyranny, militarism, and fear.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Let this be the year Sudan turns the page from the margins of failed states to the headlines of renewal.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\">\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Let the youth who protested in 2019, and who have known only despair since, finally see the fruits of their courage.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Let Sudan be a land of justice, not impunity.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">A land of the ballot box, not bullets.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">A land of dialogue, not dominance.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">We may stumble. We may face resistance.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">But we will not stop.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">This government will stand. This movement will grow. This hope will not die.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">To every Sudanese child, inside or abroad, you will inherit a full, free, and rightful homeland.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">May Allah rest our martyrs in paradise.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">in May Allah bless the new Sudan we are building together, for all.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span class=\"s10\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">One people.
