The Political Bureau of the National Umma Party (NUP) invalidated the statement issued by the Party’s presidency institutions to relieve Maj. Gen. Fadlallah Burma Nasser from his position as Party Leader.
\nThe Party’s Political Bureau shared in a press statement today, Tuesday, that Maj. Gen. Fadlallah Burma Nasser is the Party Leader entrusted with the Chairman’s constitutional powers.<\/p>\n

The statement added:<\/p>\n

In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate<\/p>\n

Allah is Great, and praise be to Allah<\/p>\n

The National Umma Party<\/p>\n

Press Statement<\/p>\n

Based on the statement issued by the presidency institution to relieve the Chairman, I would like to point out the following:<\/p>\n

* The Chairman was appointed by a decision from the Political Bureau and not from his deputies, assistants and advisors.<\/p>\n

* The main party institutions are the General Congress, Party Leader, Central Committee, Political Bureau, and the General Secretariat.<\/p>\n

* The Political Bureau is the highest political authority in the Party and acts as the Central Committee and General Congress in the period between the two sessions, in addition to exercising its original and temporary powers.<\/p>\n

* The Presidency institution is a body formed by the Party Leader, by his decision and is subsequently under his command. Its occupants answer to the Chairman, as he possesses the power to appoint and dismiss them.<\/p>\n

* The vice presidents, his assistants and advisors are tasked with assisting him and don’t have any powers or authorities according to the Party constitution to dismiss or remove the Chairman who exercises his constitutional powers.<\/p>\n

* Mr. Fadlallah Burma is the Party Leader entrusted with the Chairman’s constitutional powers. As for the violations attributed to him, they are political assessments to be considered by the institutions.<\/p>\n
