{"id":160701,"date":"2025-02-24T14:30:35","date_gmt":"2025-02-24T12:30:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/assayha.net\/en\/?p=160701"},"modified":"2025-02-24T14:30:35","modified_gmt":"2025-02-24T12:30:35","slug":"tasees-begins-consultations-to-form-the-government-of-peace-and-unity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/assayha.net\/en\/160701\/","title":{"rendered":"Tasees begins consultations to form the Government of Peace and Unity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The partners of the Sudan Founding Alliance (Tasees) began consultations in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, on Sunday to form the Government of Peace and Unity, which is scheduled to be announced from within the country, in addition, arrangements have been made to consensually finalize the details regarding the levels of government, which are the Sovereignty Council, the Council of Ministers, and the Parliament. Consultation meetings have begun and are still ongoing.<\/p>\n<p>The head of the Sudan Revolutionary Front (SRF), Al-Hadi Idris, stated that \u201cThe government will be announced in the coming days from inside Sudan,\u201d while the head of the Technical Committee for the Nairobi Conference, Ibrahim Al-Mirghani, confirmed they intend for the signed Political Charter to be the path to establishing a government agreed upon by the partners, that will be announced from inside the country.<\/p>\n<p>The parties of the Sudan Founding Alliance (Tasees) had previously signed a Political Charter, in preparation for forming the new government.<\/p>\n<p>The closing session witnessed the participation of the Deputy Commander of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), Abdel Rahim Daglo, the leader of Sudan People\u2019s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N), Abdel Aziz Al-Hilu, the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) &#8211; Suleiman Sandal faction, the Sudan Liberation Forces Alliance (SLFA), led by El-Taher Hajar, the leaders of the Sudan Revolutionary Front (SRF), and the head of the National Umma Party (NUP), Fadlallah Burma Nasser,<\/p>\n<p>The head of the political sector (Political Secretary) of the original Democratic Unionist Party (DUP), Eng. Ibrahim Al-Mirghani, was also in attendance, along with the head of the Free Lions Party in eastern Sudan Mabrouk Mubarak Salim, and the head of the opposition Beja Congress (BC), Osama Saeed, in addition to significant groups including intellectuals, Civil and Religious Administrations, as well as Sufi Orders.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Sudanese State Sovereignty<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Twenty-four political entities and parties signed the Founding Charter, and the new alliance includes political parties, Armed Movements, Civil Administrations, and community entities supporting the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Sudan.<\/p>\n<p>The Charter referred to a \u201cSudanese identity\u201d based on the facts of historical and contemporary diversity as well as a State based on freedom, justice, and equality.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Charter Clauses <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;Charter&#8221; was based on two foundations, the first of which is the general principles consisting of (32) clauses, and the second is the reasons for forming the &#8220;Transitional Peace Government&#8221; consisting of two parts, &#8220;National Motives&#8221;, and &#8220;Achieving International Peace and Security&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>One of the most prominent clauses in the Charter is that the Sudanese State is based on the principle of &#8220;Voluntary unity of its peoples and regions&#8221;, and that &#8220;The State exercises its Sovereignty on behalf of the Sudanese people, in a manner that ensures the preservation of its political and economic independence as well as the protection of the interests of its peoples without discrimination&#8221;, according to the text of the document reviewed by (Asharq).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Charter Prohibitions <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;Charter&#8221; stipulated &#8220;Prohibiting the establishment of any party or political organization on a religious basis, or organizing political advertising on a religious or racial basis&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, it stipulated that &#8220;The new Army shall be subject to civilian oversight and control since its establishment, and shall reflect the diversity of Sudan&#8217;s regions&#8221;, and emphasized &#8220;The establishment of a professional and independent Intelligence Security Service that isn&#8217;t subject to any ideological, political or partisan loyalty&#8221;, according to the text of the Charter.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Commitment to Justice<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Charter reiterated the \u201cNecessity of commitment to justice, historical accountability, ending impunity, and criminalizing all forms of extremism, military coups, as well as the exploitation of religion for political purposes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Charter also explained that the reasons for forming a \u201cTransitional Peace Government\u201d are to end the war, \u201cAchieve comprehensive and lasting peace, protect civilians and humanitarian aid, in addition to restoring the democratic path.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>National Consensus<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The official Spokesperson for the Rapid Support Forces&#8217; Negotiating Delegation, Mohamed Mukhtar, stated that \u201cWhat took place today is a significant and unprecedented effort in the history of the Sudanese State since its establishment in (1956).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added, \u201cCurrently, the new State is in the construction and founding phase that is based on justice and equality, taking into account diversity and pluralism, realizing justice for the marginalized regions of Sudan, and restoring the country\u2019s right path, amidst the corridors of the international community as a respected State with its rightful Sovereignty and status.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mukhtar told (Erem News) that \u201cWhat took place in Nairobi represents a political demonstration and a great national consensus amongst all political, civil, and popular forces, civil society organizations, civil administrations, and all segments of the Sudanese society with its diversity, tribes, and geographical orientations.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The partners of the Sudan Founding Alliance (Tasees) began consultations in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, on Sunday to form the Government of Peace and Unity, which is scheduled to be announced from within the country, in addition, arrangements have been made to consensually finalize the details regarding the levels of government, which are the Sovereignty &hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":8,"featured_media":160702,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[2],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-160701","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v23.9 (Yoast SEO v27.4) -
