{"id":160563,"date":"2025-01-28T20:43:04","date_gmt":"2025-01-28T18:43:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/assayha.net\/en\/?p=160563"},"modified":"2025-01-29T10:45:17","modified_gmt":"2025-01-29T08:45:17","slug":"new-sexual-violence-crime-by-saf-members-is-revealed-by-organizations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/assayha.net\/en\/160563\/","title":{"rendered":"New sexual violence crime by SAF members is revealed by organizations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Sudanese National Observatory for Human Rights (SNOHR) revealed information regarding a new crime of sexual violence committed by members of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) against prisoners of war (POWs), adding to a series of crimes and violations carried out by the Sudanese Armed Forces and its allied militias after entering the city of Wad Medani.<\/p>\n<p>The Sudanese National Observatory shared in a statement that members of the Sudanese Army and Al-Baraa Ibn Malik Brigade &#8211; that comprises of extremist elements, committed a crime of sexual violence against (POWs) in Wad Medani, adding, \u201cVideo clips documented the crime, the perpetrators of which are fighters affiliated with Al-Baraa Ibn Malik militia. One of whom can be seen sexually assaulting a prisoner, while the latter was stripped of his clothes and his arms and feet were tied.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The (SNOHR) statement explained that the crime took place while members of the extremist brigade and members of the Sudanese Army were watching the incident, referencing the multiple blatant violations committed by the extremist jihadist Al-Baraa Ibn Malik Brigade against civilians and prisoners of war, which is a matter of grave concern and suspicion in itself.<\/p>\n<p>The National Observatory indicated the act of documenting crimes committed by the Sudanese Army &#8211; which included, but weren&#8217;t limited to; Extrajudicial killing, liquidating civilians, arrest and torture, hence, the organization emphasized the importance of shedding light on the violations committed against (POWs) by the Sudanese Army and its allied militias.<\/p>\n<p>The Human Rights Observatory condemned the crimes that violate religions, laws, customs and human rights, calling for an immediate cessation of violations against the Sudanese, and called on the international community to urgently intervene to protect civilians and ensure their safety, as well as to put an end to such horrific crimes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Sudanese National Observatory for Human Rights (SNOHR) revealed information regarding a new crime of sexual violence committed by members of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) against prisoners of war (POWs), adding to a series of crimes and violations carried out by the Sudanese Armed Forces and its allied militias after entering the city of &hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":8,"featured_media":160564,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[2],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-160563","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v23.9 (Yoast SEO v27.4) -
