The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) stated that the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) warplanes bombed Al-Jaili Oil Refinery facilities, north of the capital Khartoum using barrel bombs, adding; “The warplanes of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), operating under the Islamic <\/span><\/span>Movement, bombed<\/span><\/span> Al-Jaili Oil Refinery with barrel bombs, and burned the remaining facilities.”<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) confirmed in a statement that the repeated airstrikes on the Oil Refinery led to its complete destruction, and considered the aforementioned a full-fledged war crime.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

January 23rd, 2025<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Earlier this morning, the warplanes of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), operating under the Islamic Movement, launched aerial strike on Al-<\/span><\/span>jaili<\/span><\/span> Oil Refinery. The strike burnt down the remaining facility.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The aerial bombardment of the refinery, continued for several times, the latest of which occurred this morning, resulted in its total destruction. This act constitutes a full-fledged war crime, inseparable from the crimes committed by Islamic Movement’s terrorist army since the beginning of the war.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

While we strongly condemn these barbaric acts, we call upon the international organizations to fulfill their duty in documenting these crimes and hold the perpetrators accountable. We also call upon the free and impartial media outlets to bring these atrocities to <\/span><\/span>the attention<\/span><\/span> of world. This will expose the true nature of the Islamic Movement’s terrorist army.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Rapid Support Forces remain determined in their struggle to liberate Sudan from the grip of the extremist Islamic Movement. We are committed to working alongside our people to rebuild the Sudanese state on new and just foundations that eliminate injustice and end the marginalization of all Sudanese communities.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
