Unknown drones launched intensive attacks on Atbara Airport and the Government Secretariat in Ad-D\u0101mar on Thursday, coinciding with the meetings of the leaders of the dissolved National Congress Party in the city.<\/p>\n

Reliable sources from the city of Shendi stated that suicide drones targeted military sites in the city in conjunction with the drones that targeted the city of Atbara.<\/p>\n

A military source added to (Assayha) that the drones that targeted the Government Secretariat in Atbara had a range of no more than (35) kilometers, which means they were launched from areas very close to the city.<\/p>\n

The city of Atbara witnessed similar drone attacks during the past two days, targeting the Army Headquarters, according to eyewitnesses.<\/p>\n

Drone attacks have continued during the past periods on a number of cities controlled by the Sudanese Army Forces and in which leaders affiliated with the regime of ousted President Omar Al-Bashir reside.<\/p>\n

In June, the Army\u2019s aerial defenses in Shendi shot down five drones targeting the Army Headquarters.<\/p>\n

On April 2nd, during the holy month of Ramadan, an iftar hosted by Al-Baraa Ibn Malik Brigade -loyal to the Army- was attacked by a drone in a wedding hall in the city of Atbara, northern Sudan, which resulted in a number of deaths and injuries.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
