The head of the Sudan Liberation Army Movement, Minni Arcua Minnawi, has sharply criticized his allies, the leaders of the Sudanese Army and the Islamic Movement group in the Port Sudan government.<\/p>\n
Informed sources reported, according to \u201cSky Sudan\u201d, that during a meeting that was shrouded in secrecy in the French capital, Paris, Minnawi informed a close circle of leaders from his Movement, of their intention to end the partnership with the Sudanese Army soon, and to take alternative measures (which he didn’t specify), indicating the widening gap between them and the Army leadership.<\/p>\n
He acknowledged the error in choosing to support the Army, which is controlled by ethnic and political groups, adding that facts were revealed to them in regards to the control of the Islamists and the deep State over the decision-making in the State, stating: \u201cIts no longer possible for us to continue in the same manner.\u201d<\/p>\n
Sources reported that the meeting touched on what was reported in the media about the “Joint Forces” Movements coming to an agreement in regards to a set of demands related to their participation in power in exchange for continuing to fight alongside the Army. Which Minnawi believed -during his briefing to those close to him- are essential and legitimate demands and there is nothing wrong with them.<\/p>\n
Pointing out that their forces have continuously been at the front lines and presented hundreds of martyrs, some parties might wish for them to fight the battles alone, while a political movement is pursuing a racist agenda to divide the country and diminish the role their forces play in the ongoing war.<\/p>\n
Minnawi stated that France is well invested in the repercussions of the war as well as the humanitarian issues in Sudan, noting that they discussed with the French Foreign Ministry the possibility of ending the war and working together to deliver humanitarian aid to the entirety of the Sudanese people, especially citizens in the city of El-Fasher.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
