The Egyptian authorities turned away dozens of Sudanese people residing in Gulf countries from the country’s airports despite obtaining an entry visa, and stipulated that they must obtain security approval.<\/p>\n
The authorities forced Sudanese Nationals to return to Doha, Jeddah and Dubai following their arrival in Egypt after the authorities prevented them from entering without prior notice, indicating that the Egyptian government required them to obtain security approval.<\/p>\n
According to a circular issued by the Egyptian Passports Administration, Sudanese passengers coming from the Gulf countries are allowed to enter after obtaining an entry visa in addition to security approval from the Egyptian embassies in the countries they are coming from.<\/p>\n
The decision stipulated the cancellation of previous instructions regarding allowing entry with an entry visa if the individual holds a residence permit in the Gulf or European Union countries.
\nThe decision excluded Sudanese citizens who obtained an entry visa from the Egyptian Consulate and Embassy in Sudan and didn’t oblige them to obtain security approval.<\/p>\n
Last week, the Sudanese Authorities issued a decision to impose entry visas on holders of Egyptian travel documents, as part of what it considered to be reciprocity. The new procedures exempted some age groups, while news spread that the Sudanese Authorities had backed down from the decision.<\/p>\n
Cairo had stipulated that all Sudanese travelers must submit, before obtaining an entry visa, a health certificate approved and documented by the Sudanese Ministry of Health for the polio vaccination (Salk Vaccine).<\/p>\n
The Authorities demanded that, starting in October, (4) weeks must pass after the vaccination before the date of arrival in Egypt, and not to exceed (12) months after the date of the vaccination.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
