A field commander of the Rapid Support Forces told (Assayha) that our forces are still in their positions in Khartoum after repelling what he described as a failed attack on Khartoum, adding, \u201cThe remnants were completely crushed.\u201d He explained that Army Forces along with the Islamist battalions attempted to infiltrate across the bridges from Omdurman to Khartoum, and across the Nile with a number of ferries, stressing that the Rapid Support Forces thwarted what he called the remnants’ desperate venture.<\/p>\n
