The advisor to the Commander of the Rapid Support Forces, Al-Basha Tibeaq, revealed that the Rapid Support Forces obtain the weapons they use in fighting from “SAF” armouries, rejecting accusations regarding parties supplying weapons to the Rapid Support Forces.<\/p>\n
Al-Basha Tibeaq told “Alhurra” that the Rapid Support Forces seized, in the first days of the war, the largest weapons armouries belonging to the Army in Yarmouk, Al-Jaili and the Central Reserve as well as other locations, “Which provided them with huge quantities of ammunition and military equipment.”<\/p>\n
He explained that the accusation that the Rapid Support Forces received support from the United Arab Emirates is intended to divert attention from the painful and successive defeats that the Army suffered during the war.<\/p>\n
He added that “The Army is using mercenaries from foreign countries, and officially announces that it receives support from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and Russia.”<\/p>\n
The advisor to the Commander of the Rapid Support Forces, Al-Basha Tibeaq indicated that “There is information about Egyptian support for the Sudanese Army with weapons,” adding, “We cannot deny nor confirm this information, but the support provided by Russia and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard to the Army is confirmed.”<\/p>\n
He continued, “We received information about Egypt supplying the Army with Chinese K-8 aircrafts. In the early days of the war, the Rapid Support Forces had certainly captured a number of Egyptian pilots from the Merowe Base in Northern Sudan.”<\/p>\n
Tibeaq stressed that “The Egyptian Air Force was present at the Merowe Base because the Sudanese government gave it to Egypt as an advanced base, in order to respond to Ethiopia in the event of confrontations between them over the Renaissance Dam.”<\/p>\n
He shared that the Rapid Support Forces possess great capabilities, and that the arms market is open to those who have money, denying accusations made by Army leaders about obtaining weapons from the Russian “Wagner” Group.
