The General Coordination of Camps for the Displaced and Refugees stated that cases of Malnutrition in “Kalma” Camp for displaced persons reached (5,975) children, some of whom are in critical condition.<\/p>\n
In its periodic bulletin, the General Coordination confirmed that the humanitarian situation is continuously deteriorating in “Kalma” Camp and the displacement camps across other cities and states of Darfur.<\/p>\n
The Coordination shared that the displaced people in “Kalma” Camp are currently trapped between the parties to the armed conflict, and are deprived of the most basic needs of food, medicine, shelter, and drinking water, due to the obstruction of humanitarian aid from reaching those in need.<\/p>\n
Last May, (66) children lost their lives due to hunger in the \u201cKalma\u201d Camp for displaced people near the city of Nyala, South Darfur state.
