Yesterday, the United Arab Emirates stopped issuing one-year residency permits “Countries of Disasters and Wars” for holders of all types of visit permits of Sudanese nationals, according to travel agencies and media outlets.<\/p>\n
They pointed out that a number of travel agencies notified their clients who had previously obtained entry visas and hadn’t used them yet, of the need to pay a guarantee amounting to “2,500” dirhams, otherwise the visa will be canceled (48) hours before the date of entry.<\/p>\n
The Emirati authorities grant Sudanese nationals present on its territory permits for a period of one month until their status is regularized or they leave the United Arab Emirates.<\/p>\n
The Cairo Siege<\/p>\n
Yesterday, the Arab Republic of Egypt officially announced the suspension of Sudanese commercial activities as well as the entirety of Sudanese schools in Egypt, according to a decision issued by the Egyptian Council of Ministers No. 2091 of 2024, which is related to the reclassification of public shops and the cancellation of the classification of some materials issued in 2019 and 2020. According to “UN” statistics, more than (5) million Sudanese people have fled the war in Sudan to Egypt since the beginning of the war in April 2023, as smuggling operations continued across the desert to Egypt after Cairo suspended the process of granting visas to Sudanese nationals.<\/p>\n
Under significant popular pressure, the Egyptian authorities began deporting Sudanese violators from its territory, as International Organizations and human rights activists documented the forced deportation of hundreds of Sudanese people in an inappropriate manner, and some were detained in military headquarters and deprived of their basic human rights.<\/p>\n
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Expels Sudanese<\/p>\n
In contrast, Sudanese violators in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia face deportation from Saudi territory, unlike the past period, which witnessed a tolerant flexibility from the Saudi authorities towards Sudanese citizens.<\/p>\n
In addition, the authorities imposed tight control over supporters of the defunct Sudanese regime and supporters of the war in Sudan, going as far as to arrest some elements and actually deporting them to Sudan, heading that list of people is Almusbah Talha, the Commander of “Al-Bara\u2019 ibn Malik” Brigade.
