People voice the prominent question regarding the truth of the cause for which the Armed Movements in Darfur fought, for they seem to have abandoned their stance of neutrality and sided with the Army after blatantly forsaking the issues of justice and liberation for which the State fought for more than twenty years, while millions of Sudanese people were displaced in Darfur throughout that period of time.<\/p>\n
Is it the same “Justice and Equality Movement – Gibril” and “Sudan Liberation Movement – Minnawi”..??? What was the reason for the war they started in Darfur in 2003 under the name -Liberation, Justice and Equality- during which more than (300,000) innocent citizens were killed in Darfur according to statistics provided by International Organizations and the government acknowledged only (10,000) deaths according to the words of the ousted President Omar Al-Bashir.<\/p>\n
It’s rather unsurprising that Gibril had previously caused the death of more than (500) Sudanese merchants -a large number of which belonged to the same social component as Gibril Ibrahim- in the town of “Bentiu” where they had taken shelter in the mosque in Unity state, South Sudan. Nevertheless, he caused the incident due to his bias towards fighting in favor of President Salva Kiir in his war with his deputy, Riek Machar in 2013.<\/p>\n
This man also seems to have forgotten that the ousted regime’s holdouts whom he is siding with today, carrying out their schemes to ignite the tribal conflict in Darfur were responsible for killing his brother, Dr. Khalil Ibrahim, and displacing his family of merchants from “Libya” market and replacing them with “The Sons of Shendi”. They moved to the south, where genocide awaited them because of Gabriel and his Movement. At that time, Khartoum was applauding the heinous crime committed against innocent people in the town of “Bentiu” and the media referred to them as “Rebels”.<\/p>\n
If anyone were to ask “Gabriel – Minnawi – Tambour” whether any of them ever visited the camps for displaced persons who exceeded two million in Darfur due to their war that destroyed the infrastructure in the region, tore apart the social fabric, and undermined the peaceful coexistence that once existed amongst the population..??? They will claim they intend to visit, even if truthfully they are now planning with their executioners to displace more of the region\u2019s residents to displacement camps because they transferred the war to the region to create further tribal strife in Darfur.<\/p>\n
But one remains baffled about the stance of these Armed Movements that -since 2003- have caused all of this destruction. However, in the end, they are abandoning the slogans and goals they declared and for which a tremendous amount of people died…??<\/p>\n
I am terribly surprised because I can’t find any explanation or justification for the stance adopted by the Armed Movements to support the Army leadership and the ousted regime’s holdouts, who they have once fought and were dubbed as foreigners, Chadians, mercenaries, and bandits by them. In addition, their families were targeted on hateful racist grounds. Would it not have been better for these Armed Movements to adhere to the position of neutrality that they have taken since the beginning of the war..!!!! Then people can at least excuse their behavior.<\/p>\n
It is true, my friend, that is the same position adopted by Malik Agar, who has been fighting the Center in the ranks of the “SPLM” for more than (42) years, and eventually he forsaken the millions who fell in the Blue Nile, the Nuba Mountains and South Sudan and sided with nothingness.<\/p>\n
At the same time, we find the Army leaders, their supporters, and the media quick to blame the Armed Movements for every defeat they suffer and accuse them of treason.<\/p>\n
Therefore, my friend, due to the foolishness of the ousted regime’s holdouts and the stupidity of the Armed Movements that have abandoned their stance of neutrality, I expect that the Rapid Support fighters will head to Shendi, Atbara, and Merowe and will strike areas in northern Sudan in an attempt to prevent the transfer of the war to Darfur, which will only seve to further ignite the ferocity of the war.<\/p>\n
Tomorrow is just a day away, time will tell..<\/p>\n
