Hostilities in Khartoum<\/p>\n

In the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, war conditions prevented citizens from performing Eid al-Fitr prayers in public spaces, while worshipers in the city of Omdurman performed their prayers under the sound of cannons.<\/p>\n

Citizens of Khartoum and states under the Sudanese army control were forced to perform Eid prayers within the walls of mosques, implementing the decrees issued by the authorities for security reasons, according to their statements.<\/p>\n

The sounds of cannons were clearly heard while worshipers were inside the mosques performing Eid prayers, and the army fired several artillery shells from the Kerreri military area in Omdurman, to which the Rapid Support Forces responded in kind.<\/p>\n

The worshipers returned to their homes after Eid al-Fitr prayers without doing what they had done forever, which is exchanging family visits, going to entertainment places, etc.<\/p>\n

Mere hours prior to Eid al-Fitr, the city of Al-Fau in El-Gedaref state witnessed air bombardment operations by a drone of unknown origins, targeting the headquarters of the Sudanese Army\u2019s Second Division, while other drones simultaneously targeted the headquarters of the Judicial authority as well as the Security and Intelligence Service in the city of El-Gedaref.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
