Al-Burhan government found no way around sitting at the negotiation table even after all the screaming, wailing, and calling for the continuation of the war and so on and so forth, as was the momentum rising hand in hand with the invitation to join the Jeddah negotiations platform for the resolution of the Sudanese crisis.<\/p>\n
I believe that today\u2019s beginning will be a serious one and far different from all previous meetings, due to the added conviction of the necessity of this platform, along with the participation of other parties, namely; the African Union and IGAD in the agreement conduction process.<\/p>\n
This step will be taken by both the Rapid Support Forces and the Armed Forces. It will be a cornerstone in navigating the war in Khartoum to its expected ends, and perhaps, even certainly, these voices calling for war using the \u201cspeed of decisiveness\u201d slogan will soon be active especially since they consider this the only way to reclaim ruling power again. Paying no heed to the dire implications of extending the duration of the war on helpless citizens.<\/p>\n
It is far too late to return to what the Rapid Support Forces has called for and steadfastly advocated since the first strike, and that is the earnest invitation to stop the war.
