The White Nile State Announces Tender for 14,000 Relief Items

At the end of April, the Ministry of Finance, Economy, and Manpower in the White Nile state announced a limited tender for the sale of significant amounts of relief supplies.

The afore referenced supplies include 7,000 sacks of imported sugar, each of which is (50 kg), as well as 7,000 sacks of flour, each of which weighs (25 kg).

Following the outbreak of the ongoing war in Sudan, a significantly wide variety of relief supplies have been diverted to markets in the eastern, central, and northern regions of the country for sale.

Observers rightfully condemned the announcement, deeming it an act that highlights the unprecedented and brazen corruption taking place, and a dangerous development that serves to reflect the state of lawlessness prevailing in the country during the course of this devastating war.
