Hamdok warns of dangerous shifts in the course of the war

The former Prime Minister, Abdullah Hamdok described the ongoing military developments as “dangerous,” calling on both parties to the conflict, the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), to implement an immediate cessation of hostilities in an effort to preserve the lives of the Sudanese people and the unity of the country.

He appealed to the regional and international communities to intensify pressure on both sides of the conflict to end the war.

It is worth noting that the Sudanese government has made Port Sudan the center of government, in addition to serving as a headquarters for international and humanitarian missions. However, it has recently been subjected to airstrikes despite remaining outside the conflict zone since the outbreak of the ongoing war two years ago.
